How to Pop a Pimple:⁣
⁣
1.) DON’T. 🚫 ⁣
⁣
2.) Just kidding, sort of.. Seriously though, please don’t pick! (Especially not with your fingers or nails!) ⁣
⁣
If you are struggling with breakouts between appointments, your Aesthetician can recommend products (like actrol powder, acu masque, acu-klear, BP-5, acu-therm, and beta gel— depending on your skin) to help clear them up! ⁣
⁣
2.5) 🧊 We also recommend ICING! It totally helps to reduce the inflammation in your lesions, just like when you ice a knee or shoulder injury. (AM/PM after your skincare cleansing routine for best results.) You can use an actual piece of ice, or a cold roller as well! ⁣
⁣
3.) BUT we get it— if we said we don’t have stare downs with our breakouts we’d be lying… Like, For REAL—Just because we KNOW better doesn’t mean we always DO better. 🙈⁣

So, you have a monster and want him gone— how do you do it without destroying the cell walls and making matters worse?⁣
⁣
First— you gotta wash your face. Let’s start with a clean surface and not push any bacteria or makeup into your soon-to-be open wound. ⁣
⁣
4.) Use Q-Tips! Place on either side of the base of the pimple (as shown) and apply slow, even pressure from one side while gently applying pressure and wiggling the second Q-Tip squeezing to bring it upwards. ⁣
⁣
5.) THE KEY— There has to be a hole for the nasty to come out so if there isn’t a visible white-head, this won’t work. If there isn’t a head— apply the aforementioned products and WAIT. Either they will clear it up for you, or help bring it to a head so you can safely extract.⁣
⁣
6.) Be sure to cleanse the surrounding area! I recommend taking a cotton swab or round and spraying a bit of your moisture spray and dabbing to help keep the area clean. ⁣
⁣
NOTE: and this is important friend, If a gentle to mild pressure doesn’t release the head, apply a spot treatment, and WAIT until that evening. We KNOW it feels embarrassing— trust, but a scar is a lot harder to correct. ⁣
